A Journey with Alato and the Arvet Watch: A Personal Review
This is a guest article written by our first watch customer Ilan Sernov.
I first encountered Pierre in a Facebook group for watch microbrands, where he shared early designs of what would later become the Arvet. I was immediately drawn to the distinctive style of the watch hands—there was something about the design that resonated with me. From that moment, I kept in touch with Pierre, and our conversations over the months allowed me to see the depth of thought and care he put into every decision. What started back in October developed into a fascinating process of following Pierre's journey as he built his brand, Alato.
What really sets Pierre apart is his incredible attention to detail. Every design decision he made reflected his true enthusiasm for watches, history, and the community of watch enthusiasts. He wasn’t just focused on aesthetics; he thought deeply about how each element would speak to those who wear the watch, making sure that the Arvet would resonate on a personal level. His passion for horology is evident in every aspect of the design—from the unique hands that first caught my eye to the subtle details that pay homage to historical timepieces.
When the Arvet prototype was ready for review, I had the chance to arrange for Aviv, a well-known YouTube reviewer (@myaffordablewatchcollection), to receive the watch first. On the last day of May, the watch was finally passed to me, and I couldn’t have been more excited. The Arvet completely exceeded my expectations. The balance between design, functionality, and heritage perfectly matches my style and personality.

What makes the watch even more special is the story behind it. Being in touch with Pierre throughout this journey added a level of personal significance I had never experienced with a watch before. His passion and the connection we formed gave the Arvet a sentimental value beyond its physical attributes. Pierre’s dedication to building not just a brand, but a community around his love for watches, is what truly makes Alato stand out.
For me, the Arvet is more than just a timepiece. It's a reflection of Pierre's vision and the passion that went into every decision. It’s a watch with a story—and I’m proud to have been a part of it.
Aviv's review of the Arvet
Got to spend some time with the blue Arvet. This is a very unique piece. It has so many unique elements, that put together make up an appealing sports watch.
A sapphire sandwich in a nice vintage grand Seiko style stainless steel case, great BGW9 lume, nice H link bracelet with solid links, solid end links and a wonderful on the fly clasp, beautiful set of hands and of course that mesmerizing guilloché dial that you can get lost in.
I love how it all ties up around the Reuleaux triangle concept.
The attention to details and thought process behind every element of this watch are impressive, to say the least.

Final words from Pierre
A huge thank you goes out to Ilan & Aviv for putting this together. It is truly a fantastic community within watch enthusiasts, and I am so happy to be a part of it. I am so happy I e-met you guys, and that we got to share my journey on creating the Alato Arvet. That day when you guys sent photos from when you met was one of the highlights in my journey so far. I will never forget that feeling. It was absolutely fantastic. So, again, thank you so much for your engagement. I wish you both all the best. Take care, and I hope one day we can meet up in "real life".
