12&60 Recension av ALATO Ögonsten

12&60 Review of Ögonsten Royal Blue

12&60 recently published their review of Ögonsten, under the headline:

“A watch so stunning it could even turn quartz haters.”

In the review, Guy Parker describes Ögonsten as a watch with an unusually strong visual identity, and believes the design succeeds in standing out in a market where much has started to feel familiar.

He particularly highlights the sculptural case, the integrated forms, and the way light interacts with the dial and faceted details. According to the review, the design feels both futuristic and elegant at the same time, with clear influences from optical instruments (the human eye) and Scandinavian design.

Guy Parker also describes how the overall experience feels significantly more premium than the price point suggests, and believes Ögonsten manages to create a strong sense of originality without relying on vintage inspiration or traditional design references.

Another aspect highlighted in the review is the quartz movement. Although many enthusiasts typically prefer mechanical watches, he argues that Ögonsten’s design and overall presence are strong enough for the movement itself to become almost secondary to the experience.

It feels especially meaningful to receive this kind of review from Guy Parker, who describes himself as someone with a particular passion for design-driven and slightly unconventional watches.
