Many thanks to Vincent Deschamps at Mainspring Watch Magazine for a thoughtful and candid review of the Arvet Burgundy. You can tell right away when someone has actually worn a watch, and not just reviewed it at their desk.
The review is straight to the point: everyday watches today are not about surviving extreme conditions, but about living with something that feels well-crafted and personal. A watch you want to put on every morning, without having to think about it. We agree with this.
We were particularly pleased to see details that are often overlooked get attention, such as the proprietary Reuleaux rotor, the layered texture of the dial, and the flat but very present shape of the case. The comments about how Nordic brands manage to balance the everyday with the unique were also spot on. Great to see Nordic design getting attention!
And yes, they also highlighted things we ourselves had thought about. For us, that's invaluable input.
Have you had the Arvet on your wrist for a while? What do you agree with? What do you see differently? We'd love to hear from you.
